The wild population once dwindled to only a few remaining plants, but the species was brought back from the brink of extinction and has become a botanical garden curiosity. It is a short tree, with large, cabbage-like leaves and delightful, fluffy orange flowers that are reminiscent of its common relative---the daisy. Extraordinarily rare!
