Trindad Scorpion Pepper
Capsicum chinense

One of the hottest peppers on the planet, the Trinidad Scorpion rivals the Bhut Jolokia in heat. Pods are strangely wrinkled, blocky, generally with a slightly curled tail at the blossom end. The fruits ripen from green to orange and finally red. Length varies slightly, but usually runs about 2-3" long. While quite desirable, the variety remains fairly rare. The fruits are extremely hot and care should be taken when handling pods. Gloves are recommended.

Maturity: 100-120 days.

Heat: 750,000+ Scoville

Origin: Originally found in Trinidad.
