A rare South American pepper with a very hot flavor. Though not a 'baccatum' pepper, this variety is usually lumped in with the 'aji' group. Pods grow up to 2", by 1/2" wide and ripen to shiny red. They are quite hot and are said to be as hot as the habanero's. Flavor is similar to a habanero as well.
