Pandanus solms-laubachii - Australian Screw Pine

Uncommon, screw pine species native to tropical Australia. Shore loving shrubby tree with long, pretty leaves native to Indonesia and Pacific Islands. Fruit is segmented, and looks much like a pineapple when still on the tree. Fruits tend to be larger than those of P. tectorius. Loves salt spray and salty soils, unknown hardiness but probably frost tender. #931
