Orchid Tree
Bauhinia variegata

Pink/white flowered tree with flowers resembling orchids. The orchid tree is a popular ornamental in subtropical and tropical regions.

Description: Medium sized deciduous tree to 25-30ft. Many trees will retain a few leaves throughout the year. Flowering occurs during winter and spring, making it a popular ornamental that blooms when many other trees don't. Flowers are followed by 6-9" pods.
