Description

Small, shrubby tree to 5-15ft.

Hardiness

Hardy to the upper 20's (F).

Growing Environment

Easily grown tree, will adapt to most soil types, and while it does well with year-round water, will tolerate short droughts. Grow in full sun or part shade. The leaves have an orange-like smell when crushed. The small flowers are scented and followed by woody fruit with black seeds.

By seeds.

Uses

A gum can be extracted from the tree which when chewed, has a sweetish flavor.
